While winter isn't quite behind us winter fashion is beginning to make the transition into spring and more spring-like looks. There are two reasons why this is exciting 1. Knowing that these crisp mornings will soon be a thing of the past and 2. Taking advantage of the winter sales. Sale shopping can be overwhelming at the best of times so we thought we'd put together our collection of the best things to buy on sale right now. These are items that are timeless and that will see you through well into spring (and beyond) and all at a fraction of their original price. In no particular order:

1/ A beautiful boot

Arguably worth their weight in gold, now is the time to take advantage of end of season sale prices and buy a really great pair. You’ll still get plenty of wear out of them from now through Spring and you’ll be over the moon next year when you realise you’re all sorted!

2/ Denim

Chances are that the hard wearing pair of jeans that you’ve thrashed all season are looking a little tired? Now is the perfect time to stock up on all your denim, be that denim jackets, skirts and jeans knowing that you’ll be set for at least another few seasons.

3/ Smart casual wraps

These are your go-to cardies and pullovers that take you from school runs to weekend sports. Often worn at least every other day and by the time you notice them started to fade the good sales will have finished. Invest in a couple of new pieces to extend the life of your current go-tos.

4/ A lovely coat

So you had your eye on a beautiful coat this winter but you couldn’t quite commit? Now is the time to head back to the shop where you saw that beautiful coat and purchase it for a fraction of its original price then tuck it away for next season or forgo the bag and wear it out of the shop!

5/ 'The party dress'

It’s hard to believe that the special event you had on your calendar is merely weeks away but that’s how quickly party season creeps up. Be prepared, shop for your special event dresses now (on sale) and when the big day comes you will have your outfit sorted without breaking the bank.

6/ Merino

We have plenty of cold days still to come which is why merino basics are a must-have from now until late Spring. Take advantage of the sales and snap up a few pieces for layering under spring dresses and longline cardies.
